Located on the mouth of the Estron river, Æther City sits on the bay of Airidia. A temperate climate with forests and mountains near, the weather of the area sees a decent amount of rain. It is either raining, just rained, or about to rain.

The Center City of Æther is where the skyscrapers are and most corporate office resides. It is full of security cameras and parks. Where Candle Soul, originally where the cities temples could be found, is now full of enclaves, a piece of land that is home to little parks, amusements and mansions. Bright Church, named after a prominent family, also has a good amount of tall building. It's where all the action happens when not in Center City. Many of the clubs and bars can be found there. Old Town is a melting pot, home to the work force of the city. It's also the area under which The Skids are located. Where as Blue Bank, named for the stones on the meandering banks of the river, is a relatively wealthy district, home to Taxian University. Blackrise Hill, a sprawling district set on the mound of the city, is much similar to Old Town in its composition. A melting pot. But is instead more cosmopolitan. South Side is definitely a more industrial area. The cities factories and warehouses are mostly found in this district. While The Black Piers, Ash Docks, Timber Knot and Salt Side are all smaller districts, but home to hipsters, artist and young professionals. 

Æther City is a melting pot of species, ideologies and economic statuses.  The city, after over 1200 years, has survived much and thrived in spite of. 

 

 

MAP LOCATIONS IN ÆTHER CITY

 

1. The Fang - Built during the nascent period of the city's history, this spire serves as the hub of the free city and home to The Council and Authority.
2. Main Entrance to The Skids - If The Skid were ever an official part of Æther City, this would be the entrance by which regular citizens would access the underground town.
3. Magus Row - A street famous for its stores dedicated to the magical arts.
4. The Common Ground - Having been around for a century now, this café is not only a fixture for the working class but the home-base for revolutionaries. Also serves magical pastries & beverages.
5. The Mystic Market - A colorful and chaotic place full of magical goods and services. The market attracts customers from all walks of life and holds various events and festivals throughout the year.
6. Element Park - Built to celebrate the five elemental building blocks of life, Element Park stands as the cities monument to nature. 
7. Titan Tower - Standing as the tallest building in Æther City, the tower is home to Manaforge Mechanica.
8. Harmonix Hall - A concert hall where performances are enhanced by illusionary and auditory magic. It’s a cultural hot-spot where the finest musicians and magicians dazzle audiences with their talents.\  
9. Taxian University - The premiere school for the studies of magic, technology, and the fusion of the two. The university is named after Arkane Taxian, one of the city's  founders.
10. The Mechanical Menagerie - A tribute to automata, both old and new.
11. Etheric Spa - An opulent retreat that seamlessly blends relaxation with magical rejuvenation. It is renowned for its calming ambiance, luxurious treatments, and the use of arcane elements to promote well being.
12. The Divine Temple - A sacred site that honors the gods and goddesses of various faiths and cultures, where people can worship and pray according to their beliefs. 
13. Skyward Dock - Perching high into the city skyline, this dock is designed for airship and is the lifeblood of air travel. 
14. The Red House - Really a compound owned by Saydar Ilsaid, The Red House serves as ground zero for The Order of the Undying Answer. Little is known about what happens inside.
15. City Rail Station - A grand hub where technology and magic converge, this is a place of enchantment and industrial innovation. A vital part of the city's infrastructure.
16. Elemental Arena -  A grand coliseum that serves as a stage for spectacular events where magic and technology collide.
17. Container City - Not everyone's home is brick and mortar. This is a village of disenfranchised folk who are empowered to maintain a community of like minds.
18. AetherCorp - A company specializing in harnessing magical energies for industrial purposes.
19. Mystic Solutions - A company focused on providing magical conveniences to mundane activities.
20. The Hellfire Club - Owned by the villainous devlin, Durón Vilness, this den of iniquity is the playground to the privileged and elite.
