They're called gadgets. Yes gadgets. Those odd little trinkets that seem like a techie device yet hold in them a limited amount of magical power. Want to turn invisible and you aren't a wizard? Get a gadget! Need to impress your frenemies with a fire ball? Get a gadget! Since almost the beginnings of Taxian University, surrogate technology, or technomancy as it's called, has been a focus for both teacher and students. Now, though, is the gold age of gadgets since their power has been improved, their cost leveled out, and ubiquity, growing.
