Overview: The Authority

 

A special division that polices magic, science & technomancy in the city,  The Authority has big shoes to fill these days as the city begins to spasm with upheaval. Headed by the half-orc, Aldar Grand, the Enforcers (or 'Heels' as some call them pejoratively) do their best to dispense justice in Æther City. And being some of the only entities in the city allowed to carry firearms, the agents of The Authority are far from being toothless. Many in the ranks of the Enforcers even have specialty gadgets to use on citizens who step out of line.

Many of the inhabitants of city see The Authority, at best, as simple minions of the council, upholding the desires of a ruling body that is out-of-touch with the everyday citizen. And, at worst, the jackboot of a upper-class that is actively trying to subjugate the rest of Æther City. Fortunately, The Authority is made up of a cross-section of the free city's citizens so there is still hope that true justice will be served.
